Environmental audits

In-depth knowledge of environmental impact requires quantification and modeling, whether by means of a carbon footprint or a broader analysis: life cycle assessment.

Given the importance of energy in the final results of a life cycle analysis, we also offer another in-depth analysis: the energy balance.

Carbon footprint

The carbon footprint measures the total quantity of greenhouse gases (GHGs) emitted directly or indirectly by an organization.

It takes into account several categories of emissions, including direct emissions from sources controlled by the entity, as well as indirect emissions linked to these activities (such as the production of electricity to power its operations).

Life cycle assessment

The main aim of our life cycle assessments is to gain a holistic understanding of the environmental aspects associated with a product or activity.

This understanding includes analysis categories that overtake the sole understanding of emissions alone. For instance, they allow  to consider water acidification or land use.

Energy balance

Our energy audits consist of a quantitative assessment of the quantities of energy consumed and used in its operations.

This assessment enables us to understand how the organization uses energy, whether electricity, fuels, natural gas or other energy sources.
